All packaging variations have an "easy open" system and are marked with the traceability and product information.

Irradiation Box by Box - for Product Safety
Typical radiation doses are 10, 25 or 40 kGy, which are guaranted as a minimum dose in all parts of the product. Through irradiation of full pallets the deviation of the radiation level between the core of the packaging and the surface is way too high o guaantee a consistent quality of the diet.
Thus all irradiated SAFE® diets are processed individually box by box to achieve a consistent radiation dose throughout the packaging.
